1. Start Internet Explorer [or any other web modern browser].
2.
Go to http://www.emcg.us.
3. Click
on --> Flotilla 18-6 Members' eMail System
[or the mailbox icon].
4. In the box marked USERID: type in
your last name, e.g.: "Jones"
5. In the box marked PASSWORD: type in your ID Number (or such
other value as may have been given to you), e.g.: "1234567".
6. If this fails repeat step 4
and 5 using last name and first
initial, e.g.: "JonesJ"
7. Upon gaining access, in the upper right drop-down box select Change Password.
8. Change the password to one of your choice. REMEMBER THIS!
9. You can access this system and send and receive e-Mail from any web
browser from any computer. Your e-Mail address is
yourname@emcg.us
[where
yourname is replaced with the same characters as the UserID you
entered in step 4 above].
10. You can also retrieve e-Mail with any e-Mail program by setting up an
account using mail.emcg.us as both sending and receiving servers. You
will not be able to send e-Mail from third party programs using this
method, however. It is possible that you can only send using the web interface above.
Note that you can also set your EMCG mail to be automatically forwarded to your
primary eMail account.
11. Using the same UserID and Password, you can also login to Member Resources
www.emcg.us/MemLogin.asp.
Among other things you may access Flotilla Roster
data extracted from AuxData. Please note that the information contained therein is
private and protected and should not be disseminated without authorization.
Federal penalties may be imposed for unauthorized use.
