Instructions for Flotilla 18-6 Web Access

1.  Start Internet Explorer (5.0+) or any other modern web browser.

2.  Go to http://www.emcg.us.

3.  Click on Members Info Section link.

4.  Click on Access Member-Only Resources link.

5.  In the box marked User ID: type in your Last Name. Jones

6.  In the box marked Password: type in your Password. 1234567
      Initially this will be your EmplID (Member Number) or some other value told to recruits.

7.  Press Enter.     Once logged-in you should be able see the Members Only Resources Page.

8.  If the above fails repeat steps 5 - 7 using last name first initial. JonesJ

• On Initial Access Only:

  9.  Click on Flotilla 18-6 eMail System link.

  10.  Type in the name and password with which you just logged in. [see note below*]

  11.  Click on – login

  12.  In the upper right drop down box select Change Password.

  13.  Change the password to one of your choice (other than your member number or name).
          *** PLEASE REMEMBER/RECORD THIS VALUE! ***
          If you forget it you will have to bug the Webmaster to reset it.

14.  You can access this system and send and receive eMail from any web browser from any computer*.
        Your eMail address is UserID@emcg.us where UserID is your last name (and initial in some cases).

15.  You can also retrieve eMail with any eMail program by setting up an account specifying mail.emcg.us
        for both the sending and receiving server.  Alternatively, you can use the Forwarding option to automatically
        transfer new mail to your usual eMail address.  Note however that you will most likely not be able to send EMCG
        eMail from third party programs.
